The National Portrait Gallery welcomes professional filmmakers and photographers and is a sought-after location with a range of interesting and beautiful spaces to offer.
Newly reopened after our major Inspiring People redevelopment project, the building offers access to an array of spaces from Victorian and contemporary galleries, lecture theatres, learning studios, archive and library areas, restaurants and bars to staircases, basements, service corridors and plant rooms as well as the rooftop Portrait Restaurant, where panoramic windows look out over Trafalgar Square and Whitehall.
The Gallery’s many and varied rooms of portraits on display offer vivid settings for discussions of British history, as well as providing authoritative illustrations of key figures from the past 500 years.
If you would like to shoot at the Gallery, please contact the Picture Library team at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss details of your proposed project. It is important to make firm arrangements in advance, so we can work around the Gallery’s busy schedule to help you achieve your creative goals.
Charges will vary according to your project requirements.
